方兴东与王俊秀自去年提出他们的“博客”概念后就开始大肆宣杨其“博客”精神。并且在今年九月份作了一篇《“博客中国”对博客内涵的基本定义和理解》的文章，文中提到了三要素和三大作用：

• 网页主体内容由不断更新的、个人性的众多“帖子”组成；
• 它们按时间顺序排列的，而且是倒序方式，也就是最新的放在最上面，最旧的在最下面；
• 内容可以是各种主题、各种外观布局和各种写作风格，但是文章内容以“超链接”作为重要的表达方式。

博客的三大主要作用为：

• 个人自由表达和出版；
• 知识过滤与积累；
• 深度交流沟通的网络新方式。

但是他把他的“博客”定义成了“大我”而不是“小我”这里是他们的原话：

博客精神的核心并不是自娱自乐，甚至不是个人表达自由，相反，是体现一种利他的共享精神。为他人提供帮助。个人日记和个人网站主要表现的还是“小我”，而博客表现的是“大我”。也许形式上很接近，但内在有着本质的差异。因此，所有优秀博客网站中，真正表达作者个人的内容非常有限，最多只是点缀，而不像个人网站那样是核心！

现在，包括他们的“博客中国”就更象是一个体现“大我”的论坛。而我却觉得越来越不像Blog。下面我们看一下来自于http://marketingterms.com/dictionary/blog/的对blog的英文定义：

如果说blog正如方兴东的“博客”那般。那么我却觉得它更象“斗牛士donews”而不是blog。去年的时候我也以为博客就是blog。可我现在越来越觉得不象了，也曾经自己做了一个系统http://www.ee-studio.com/main/eblogger/ 还叫易博客，真是非常见笑！做好以后就没去用过它。blog在台湾被译成“部落格”我看还是“部落格”更体现blog的实质精神。因此我现在开始做我自已的blog时，我不再提是“博客”了。我也不再把blog翻译成博客了。
